In some cases, after applying a filter to your data, you might see slower than normal performance when moving data items within a crosstabulation table. This delay is likely caused by a new SAS® 9.2 feature that is making extra calls to internal methods called FILTERED TOTAL ADD and FILTERED TOTAL REMOVE.
If you are experiencing slow performance when moving data items, enable the SAS® OLAP Server's journal file with the option Print input MDX statement as described in SAS Note 38429. If the journal includes many instances of FILTERED TOTAL ADD statements or FILTERED TOTAL REMOVE statements for a single session, then you might be encountering this problem.
Removing the filter is the only workaround for this issue.
